Incontinence is defined as the inability of the human body to control the evacuative functions of urination or defecation. Simply put, this word “incontinence” means a person can not control when he/she goes to the bathroom.
What does it mean to those of us that suffer from incontinence? We can treat and manage incontinence. More importantly, we are not alone.
I don’t know about you, but I think it is very easy for any adult suffering from incontinence to become stressed from embarrassment. Thinking back, I thought it unimaginable to even share with anyone my condition because I felt this was a problem I had to deal with. To be honest, there is no reason to be embarrassed about incontinence, but for whatever reason I did. It took time, patience, family to gain my confidence. Lucky for me, I now control incontinence. I do not let incontinence control my life. Today, medical technology has made it easier to live my life the way I want. I want to share with you how.
The purpose of this site is to share with you information on what is available to help adults manage and control incontinence.
